Look at the work
A price is a starting point. A match needs review.
This worked example shows the difference between a food-specification fit, a variant mismatch and a missing weight. Your own basket definitions determine the final matching decisions.

Start with a useful question
A coverage assessment before a data commitment.
Bring your item list, target quantities and comparison markets. We assess the fit to the existing panel and distinguish available observations from work that needs additional collection or review.
- 01
Share the basket
Provide the food definitions, package sizes, quantities and any weight requirements your analysis uses.
- 02
Identify the gaps
Classify product and format matches, missing observations and weights that must be measured or supplied.
- 03
Evaluate the benchmarks
Use a dated extract to assess your research question, then agree the delivery, licence and any additional scope.
Coverage you can assess.
The existing panel covers 50 everyday items at selected banners in Canadian cities. It is not a complete household food basket and does not include remote or northern communities. Volume, count and mass are kept distinct.
